God, I offer myself to Thee – to build with me and to do with me as Thou will.
Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love and Thy Way of life.

Group One

We meet everyday at 10:00 am. Please come join us!

About The Group

Group One is the original meeting of Day at a Time Club, founded alongside the club itself in May 1987. For decades, this group has gathered daily at 10 a.m., offering a consistent and welcoming space for anyone seeking recovery. Today, meetings are held both in person at the club and online via Zoom—each with its own community and character, but equally supportive and open to newcomers.

Group One has a long history of service, creativity, and evolution. In its early years, it hosted all of the club’s core meetings—10 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., and 8 p.m.—and gradually gave rise to specialized formats like beginners’ meetings, book studies, and traditions discussions. Some of DAAT’s best-loved events, from river rafting trips to ice cream socials and movie nights, began as Group One initiatives.

As the recovery community grew, so did the need for more autonomous groups. Out of Group One came meetings like Newners and Oasis, each forming its own identity while still carrying the original spirit forward. Through it all, Group One has remained grounded in service, generosity, and AA tradition—maintaining a prudent reserve, supporting broader AA service bodies, and holding the door open for whoever walks in next.
